John Mullard

John Mullard has over 15 years’ consulting experience with responsibility for delivering a diverse range of structural/civil engineering projects including design and construction projects across road, rail, industrial, commercial, residential, mining and water infrastructure. Highly experienced in all aspects of project delivery, John is adept at managing the delivery of technically challenging projects with a large number of consultant disciplines and stakeholders.

Design and construction of bridges typically present significant challenges due to the constrained environments and the staging / temporary works required. John has worked closely with contractors on a large range of major bridge infrastructure projects and has been instrumental in developing constructible designs that increase both safety and buildability whilst maximising the use of available materials and plant. With a PhD for his work in reliability based optimisation of reinforced concrete bridge structures, he has been widely published in both Australian and international journals and presented his work at international engineering conferences.
