We have an opportunity for an ambitious Junior Structural Engineer to join our Perth team. You will be an aspiring leader who will work closely with a mentor to place equal emphasis on the development of your technical, project management, networking, leadership and commercial skills.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Either a graduate or up to 3 years experience, however applicants with more experience will be considered
  • Demonstrate progress towards, and a commitment to CPEng status
  • Have a solid technical understanding of structural steel and reinforced concrete design and documentation, preferably within the mining sector.
  • Experienced with the use of Strand 7, Spacegass and RAPT software.
  • Display high levels of self-motivation and have the ability to work as part of a team within and outside the office.

The role will provide you with the opportunity to work on significant building and infrastructure projects servicing multiple project sites in Sydney and beyond, and will include both construction phase engineering / temporary works and permanent works design. The ideal candidate will:

  • Be locally established with 4+ years experience in construction engineering / temporary works design and inspection
  • Have an Australian tertiary engineering qualification or equivalent
  • Either be a Chartered Engineer or in the final stages of their application
  • Have experience in design management and project delivery on infrastructure or building projects in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Have experience undertaking site inspections and liaising with site personnel

We are currently accepting applications from students who want to gain experience during their 2018/2019 summary vacation period. This is usually a 12 weeks block of full time work from November to February which includes a break over Christmas to coincide with our shut down period. We have a number of positions available in Structural and Civil Engineering in our offices at Newcastle, Tuggerah, Sydney and Perth.

The successful candidates will have the following attributes:

1. Currently in your third or fourth year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and/or Structural)
