Mine Subsidence Design Services

In close consultation with the Mine Subsidence Board of New South Wales, Lindsay Dynan has developed a methodology for analysing the stresses induced in a building structure, as a result of mine subsidence related ground movements.

This methodology can be adapted to suit a range of structures including from single storey residential to high-rise office blocks, industrial buildings and even settlement sensitive buildings such as electrical substations.  Virtually any building, using any type of material or construction method, can be designed to accommodate most mine subsidence constraints.

For projects completed to date, we have consistently been able to provide a design to safely resist the mine subsidence movements without any significant increase in construction costs, or else a design that enabled the construction of a building that would not otherwise have been possible.

A few projects demonstrating our capabilities as engineering consultants in this area can be viewed in the section MINE SUBSIDENCE DESIGN PROJECTS
